Why do we have the illusion that there will be peace there. Obviously, people who have fought over religion and desert over the past fifty years or so, aren't just going to turn it off. It is not one side or the other, either, both sides contain bigots, while they both encourage injustice and hate. Peace will never happen there, it will take a lot, I mean a lot, like perhaps the end of religion.

Israel was created so the Jews would have a safe-haven from anti-semitism. Years of emigration have proved just that. Palestinians are not technically citizens of Israel. They do have the right to vote, for the leaders of the PA and Hamas. If the Jewish state were to become an Islamic Republic that would undermine the thousands of years of anti-semitism that Israel was created for.

If one of your neighbors, barged in your front door dragging all his relatives and belongings and told you to move your family and furniture all into 1 bedroom because they needed a place to live and he decided that your house was it, how long before you would be calling the cops to evict them?
OK, so they needed a place to live, why didn’t the US give them Rhode Island? How about Poland mapping out a few square miles for them? There were lots of tiny countries in Europe that they could have taken over where the neighbors would not have been so hostile.
BUT NOOOOOOO.... some dumb ass decided to plop them down right in the middle of a place sure to be as antisemitic as possible.
